The Faculty of Dentistry of the National Yang-Ming Medical College was established in 1967. The students are self-financed and study for 6 years to graduate. The Institute of Clinical Dentistry and Institute of Oral Biology were established in 1992 and 1993, respectively. The School of Dentistry was under planning since 1994, and officially approved by the Ministry of Education in 2000. During the past 20+ years, teaching emphasis has been put on both basic sciences as well as clinical training. More than 600 dentists have been graduated from the School. Most of them are in clinical practice ?to take care of people’s oral health. Some of our alumni take on further postgraduate education and acquire PhD degrees from eminent universities around the world. They have earned a reputation not only for their outstanding records in all sorts of national examinations, but also their heartfelt actions and conscientious practice in taking care of their patients.
